Both the Knighton Arms and AFC Southsea have battled their way to the final of the Sunday Senior Cup competition sponsored by Ecu Line UK Ltd and on Sunday, 21 March 2010 will make the most of their opportunity to pick the cup up at Christchurch FC.

The Knighton Arms have knocked CK Andover, NBC Dragons and Brookvale out of the cup, although not necessarily comfortably. NBC Dragons forced the Arms into extra time and another goal led them into the next round to face Brookvale.

AFC Southsea started the competition with a 6-1 defeat over Royal Albert, beat Whitenap in the second round and then it was their turn to have a game go to extra time. The extra thirty minutes gave Southsea enough time to increase their score to a two goal lead. Beating Masters at Work 4-1 in the semi final allowed AFC Southsea to claim their place in the final.

The Hampshire FA Sunday Senior Cup, sponsored by Ecu Line UK Ltd, will kick off at 10.30am on Sunday, 21 March 2010 at Christchurch FC.

Kicking off at the later time of 2.30pm at the same venue, the Hampshire FA Sunday U18s sponsored by Soccer Tackle (Hampshire) final will also be played. This time, Alresford Town U18s and United Services Portsmouth Youth will both travel to Hurn Bridge in a last effort to lift the cup.

Alresford Town Youth have had some comfortable wins throughout the whole competition, keeping the number of goals conceded to a minimum and knocking teams out the competition from all over the county. United Services Portsmouth thrashed Ryde Saints Youth a staggering 23-0 in the second round, and since then have defeated AFC Hiltingbury Youth, Havant & Waterlooville Youth and Christchurch Youth.

Your support is very welcome at the games. Entry is just £3 per adult and £1 per U16 or OAP. Students will also be charged £1 on production of a valid NUS card.
